The record number register can be set to select a particular record within a section of the selected NVEM page. Imagine this to be equivalent to selecting a row in a spreadsheet. There are instructions provided for setting and modifying the record number in a variety of useful ways.
Records numbers are counted from 0 up, so the first record is record # 0. The largest possible record number is 32,767 (depending on the particular NVEM type).
