TL485/MS485: RS485 adaptor for CC16/CC18/MS120

The TL485 is an RS485 interface designed specifically for the CC18 (or CC16) controller. It plugs directly onto the CC18 board's Comms connector, and gets its power from the CC18.

The MS485 is the same board with a slightly different connector to plug into the MS120 controller.

The TL485 will work only with half duplex communication protocols like ModBus RTU. It uses start bit detection to switch from receive mode to transmit mode. This uses a fixed interval timer that will only work correctly at 9600 BPS.

This device is intended primarily for Proof of Concept work. It does not contain protection circuitry for use in an industrial environment, and is only loosely mounted to the controller by a friction lock connector.
