# HMI_Log hash command

The HMI_Log hash command accesses a versatile data logging capability within SimpleHMI (Windows and Android). You can easily generate log files in any text format, for example plain text or CSV. CSV is a defacto standard for importing into spreadsheets and data bases.

Note that in SPLat/PC the SIO/SimpleHMI window must be active for logging to take place. A file path (folder name) must be specified for the log file, in the Settings tab of the SIO window. The file name itself is embedded in the SPLat program.
