Custom SPLat: Add some SPice

SPLat is quite unique in the world in that we offer a half-way house between standard product and custom products. SPice is a tiny add-on board that sits piggy-back on a main SPLat controller, and endows it with some special-purpose functionality. This contrasts with competing products like industrial PLCs or or single board computers in that the SPice board is fixed to the main board without the need for any card cages, backplanes or other expensive hardware.

Example SPice functions include:

• Water level detection (conductivity switches)
• AC voltage measurement
• Current transformer

What the SPice concept means for you is that you have two possibilities for tailoring a controller to your specific needs, even for a small quantity:

Standard SPLat + standard SPice

Our range of standard SPice add-on boards is growing. That means there is a better and better chance we will have the add-on you need. If we don't have it, and the function you need is something we can see being attractive to other customers, we'll make it (we may ask for a modest minimum quantity order to help defray our NRE).

Standard SPLat + custom SPice

If you need a function that's way out in left field, we can still help you even if we have to charge you an NRE. Our customers find this service is cost effective for quantities down to 10 or 15, even as a once only batch.
