Post-Nuke repair policy
It is our policy to repair, or at our option replace, any accidentally damaged SPLat controller board for a fixed price of approximately ½ the one-off price of the board, subject to the following conditions:
- Boards which we judge to have been subjected to attempted modifications or repairs or subject to careless or clumsy treatment are excluded, unless explicitly authorized by us in advance. This includes making connections using inappropriate means such as soldering to plug-in pins.
- It doesn't matter what condition the board is in. As long as it is recognizably a standard SPLat board and contains its processor chip this policy applies.
- We may substitute the same or a later release of the same product.
- If the product is a discontinued line we may substitute an equivalent current product where one exists, or one of equal or greater capacity if one exists.
- User's programming in the damaged board will not be preserved.
- The Post Nuke repair price will be that published in the most recent price list for the market (region, country etc.) where the replacement board is to be shipped. If no such price is published then the applicable price will be half the one-off price for the damaged product. If there is no price list for the market, then the Australian price list will apply. If the product is discontinued then we will make a determination based on the last published price list covering the product or for the substituted product, whichever is the lower.
- No other repair service will be provided for SPLat boards.
- The damaged board must be returned to the original supplier along with pre-payment for the replacement board plus agreed return shipping charges.
- All customs duty and/or other government charges will be at the customer's expense.
- This policy is made in good faith. If in our opinion boards are being damaged by repeated and avoidable misuse, we will decline further replacements under this policy.
- This policy does not apply to SPLat controllers used in applications where damage is likely in normal use, (for example remote control bomb disposal equipment).
- This policy does not apply to SPLat controllers that have suffered wear-out of the non-volatile memory areas (permanent and shadow memory). The product documentation clearly states the life-time limitations of such memory.
- This policy does not automatically apply to custom SPLat controllers.
- This policy is in addition to our 24 month guarantee covering defects in materials and manufacture.
- This policy applies to controller boards only unless explicitly listed in a SPLat price list (i.e. accessories, cases and attachments are excluded).
- The policy applies only within 5 years of date of manufacture. We may refuse to repair older boards.
- This policy does not apply to products that are clearly promote as hobby products, for example EC13.
- This policy does not apply to 3rd party products re-sold by us.
- This is a policy that we apply at our discretion, not a guarantee.
