PermStore [D>=2]

Saves the contents of data memories 6 through 18 in the non-volatile memory. Data stored in this memory is retained when power is removed.

This instruction has no effect on the data stack.

Note: PermStore takes a significant amount of time to perform (10's to 100's of milliseconds, depending on which SPLat board you are using), because of the time it takes to write data to the non-volatile memory chip. While this is taking place no other instructions are executed. Be careful therefore to use PermStore only when it is safe for your program to "go to sleep" for a time. The write time is detailed under the documentation for each SPLat product.
